HO HO HONK!

The JollyGoose Christmas campaign is well underway and so far it’s been a great success! It all kicked off with a photo of Will in a very silly hat. . . .which we made into a postcard to advertise our JollyGeese. These were distributed far and wide and our name was starting to get noticed...
Our new enterprise caught the right sort of attention in the form of the British Goose Producers, who very kindly (and unexpectedly!) awarded us the John Adlard Memorial Award! John Adlard was the founder of Norfolk Geese and chairman of the British Goose Producers for 23 years. Therefore it was a real privilege to recieve the prestigious award.
We received our award on a farm walk on Judy Goodman's farm in Worcestershire, the home of Goodman's Geese. It was a complete eye opener to see a goose enterprise of such scale. We met lots of brilliant people who were incredibly generous with their advice and very reassuring when many of them admitted that they also started with a gaggle the same size as ours.

So, with the wind in our sails, we embarked on our first Farmer's Market at Chipping Sodbury's Festival of Food. Our "Handmade Christmas" stall attracted lots of attention thanks to our friend Gemma making a plethora of beautiful "Festive Ice" Christmas cakes - the perfect lure! Once we had snared the folk of Chipping Sodbury, we managed to entertain them with our JollyGoose tales and secured some orders!

We will be making an appearance at Farmer's Markets right through until Christmas at Redland Farmer's Market in Bristol, Chipping Sodbury Victorian Evening (Sth Glos) and Christmas-under-Edge (Wotton-under-Edge, Glos).

Finally, JollyGoose is hitting the airwaves! We were approached by Gloss FM, a Gloucestershire countywide radio station, to do an interview all about our geese in the next few weeks...so watch this space!...
